NYPO Reloaded

Today I sent a message out to members of NYPO's general mailing list. It was about rebuilding NYPO's membership. I am copying it here for information.

You are receiving this because your email address is on the NYPO general mailing list. The general list has too many members who no longer participate so I will delete it this week and start again with a smaller but stronger membership that we can build upon. I would like you to participate as an active member or supporter of the NYPO project.

I am currently working towards a really big expansion in the NYPO project membership and in the level of activity of NYPO members. For a cheesy introduction to NYPO see http://www.nypo.org/welcome.html (I'll probably change it soon).

Activity for NYPO members means communication. This is why the Discussion forums are so important. The forums can be the centre of a new kind of community in Newham. A couple of months ago our old forums board was hacked into and I wasn't able to restore it or the messages so the new board is building up a new membership. I want both young people and the teachers and youth workers who work with them to use the board. If you are interested in the NYPO project you should register.

Anyone can register on the discussion forums but full access is granted on the basis of my knowing who members are. I would like you to complete the NYPO membership form for my records.

The password you are asked for will be used to add you to the NYPO chatroom and some other facilities that you may wish to use. You should not use the same password as you used to register on the discussions board or any other valuable password. The password you give on the form is one that I will see and that other administrators may have access to also.
