The attendance this session was good although some people were very late.

Gavin reiterated the purpose of the group saying that it had the following functions:

1. Being a NYPO development/management group - involving planing and supporting the development of the project.
2. Being a production group - involving learning the skills to take on projects in web design and computer maintenance/upgrading.
3. Supporting members who want to pursue individual ICT based projects or learning.

Although we want to remain flexible session time may be divided as follows:

1.30 - 2.00 Team meeting
2.00 - 3.15 Group project or learning
3.15 - 3.30 Summary. Recording what we have done.

Nishant suggested that the time could be extended so that we have a break or a 'fun' activity. This proposal will be discussed at the next session.

Spike led the group on a review of their knowledge of computer hardware. Next session there will be a practical review involving stripping and rebuilding the computers.

Sulthana led the next part of the session which was a game called 'Make as Much Money as You Can', which, for those who know, is a variation of the classic 'Prisoner's Dilemna' game. The point was to show that cooperation was more effective than competition but very hard to achieve.

Staff emphasised to the group that turning up on time was urgent.
