These are some facts about Christmas:

It marks the birth of Jesus of Nazareth.

Some Eastern Orthodox churches celebrate Christmas on January 7th because that refers to December 25th on the Julian Calendar.

25th December is not actually the birth date of Jesus.

Sextus Julius Africanus popularised this idea in his chronography i.e. a reference book written for Christians in AD 221.
