SWAT Event - Change of DateThe date of the SWAT Interactive Event has changed to 16th May. This is to give the planning group more time for ... well, planning. Since Easter the group has met three times. For the record, attendance was as follows: Thursday 19th: Faizan, Jamal, Veronia, Dolice, Giovanni, Nishant, Sayeed, Pratik, Amin, Jaya, Awais, Mohammed P, Mohammed W, Hanif, Jennifer. Staff were Gavin and Charmaine. Saturday 21st: Jaya, Nishant, Giovanni, Sayeed, Pratik, Faizan, Jamal, Amadu, Reece, Paulina. Staff were Gavin, Sulthana and Charmaine with Rizwan as a guest. Thursday 26th:Nishant, Mohammed W, Mohammed P, Amin, Sayeed, Faizan, Awais, Pratik, Amadu, Hanif On Thursday 19th we reviewed roles and publicity. We also confirmed the timetable for the day. We were not able to meet on Saturday 21st because Little Ilford Centre was unexpectedly closed and whicle we were able to talk informally in Little Ilford Park we could not progress much. On Thursday 26th we spent a fair amount of time trying to work out how to use two badge-making machines that we will be using on the day. We also had a visit from Katherine Kontis who was doing some 'monitoring' on behalf of the Youth Opportunities Fund people who gave us a grant for the SWAT project. The group agreed that we had done enough planning and talking and we need to work on rehersing what we are going to be doing on 16th May and on producing stuff that we need. Nishant was taking notes so he may be able to add to this, but it was agreed that Nishant and Amadu would do some work on leaflets to supplement what Gavin has produced. It was also agreed that Charmaine would take a lead on producing templates that can be used to create posters on the day. There is now a large noticeboard at Little Ilford. This will be used to display material relevant to the event. Gavin asked that everyone starts collecting material that can be used for display and suggested that each person should get a folder for this. Gavin said that he will not be able to attend the saturday session on 28th April and 5th May. These sessions will be facilitated by Sulthana and Charmaine. The sessions normally run from 1.30 to 3.30 but Sulthana said that in the light of the work that needs to be done the group could meet from 1.00 pm till 4.00 pm. Gavin will post the programme for 16th to the NYPO Forum. These notes will appear on the NYPO Blog, on the Forum and be posted to the Developers list.
